I think so. But my point was just that former synonyms (the mammal an=
d snake
examples have been used as synonyms for easily 150 years!) can receiv=
e
different definitions, and that people can be quite happy about it.

Thanks for refreshing my memory on *Testudinata*. It's not in the abs=
tract
volume, but was presented at the meeting, and I managed to forget it.=
