Subject: spam reduction

Hi folks,

Because of the volume of spam we have been receiving via the
PhyloCode listserv, including a virus-laden message yesterday, I have
arranged for the listserv to be set to accept messages only from
subscribers. This should eliminate most of the spam, though
persistent spammers could get around it by taking the trouble to
subscribe. The down side is that some subscribers will not be able
to send messages if their email address has changed since they first
subscribed. If you have such a problem, simply subscribe under your
current address and unsubscribe the old address. If you fail to do
the latter, the only consequence will be that you will receive two
copies of each message sent to the listserv.

Have a spam-free day.

Phil
