This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_+WToz48s+TlgvYuNhx94oA) Content-type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252" Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable That's what it says on the PhyloCode website. I like it that I sort of = got a new version of the PhyloCode for birthday, but I can't find any = change. In particular, none of the issues we talked about on this list = for the last 1 or 2 years are mentioned. Could someone please tell me = what was modified? Thanks in advance. One more question... What about an article that allows to correct preexisting names when = converting them? For example, Ceratopsidae, named after Ceratops, should = be Ceratopidae. Same for Protoceratopsidae. All comparable names = (Brachyopidae and Brachyopoidea, for instance) don't have that s. Some = people have been crusading for years to get that change done (impossible = under ICZN), at least for the vernacular forms (and for Ceratopsia, = Neoceratopsia, Ceratopsomorpha which aren't governed by any code). = Regarding species, Sinovenator changii and Halimornis thompsoni have = been named after women in this year, not to mention Jeholornis prima, = and the ICZN doesn't allow to correct these anymore, to the, in my = opinion, eternal shame of not just their authors but all subsequent = users that know some Latin, and to that of the ICZN itself. Fortunately = the rules of the current version suffice to resolve the Ric_ardoestesia = problem which I'll spare here to those that don't know it. :-) --Boundary_(ID_+WToz48s+TlgvYuNhx94oA) Content-type: text/html; charset="Windows-1252" Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dwindows-1252"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.50.4912.300" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>That's what it says on the PhyloCode = website.
