The only objective measure of relationship is what Darwin so succinctly
termed "propinquity of descent," frequently phrased as "recency of common
ancestry." I have never seen any reason to doubt that this is what is meant
by "related" in any phylogenetic context. However, it might be helpful to
explain this in the Code.
